Starting from the historic center of Paliano, dominated by its imposing Fortezza dei Colonna, you descend towards the cycle path that runs along the rocky spur of the Catacombs of San Quirico.

The route gradually rises with splendid views of the Valle del Sacco, until reaching the former station of Serrone, now the seat of the Red Cross. Serrone, protected by Monte Scalambra, preserves its charming medieval village with the cyclopean walls from the Hernic period.
