Castello di Terelle

The medieval castle of Terelle (Frosinone) characterizes this municipality, whose history, from its inception to the modern age, has been linked at times to Aquino and at times to Montecassino. It was the Counts of Aquino who first built a tower, a small fortification, from which they could harass, if not dominate, the powerful Abbey that, in the early 12th century, was going through a period of difficulty.
